All the ways that individuals, groups, and organisations can be part of Bingley Pride!
Volunteering Opportunities
Bingley Pride is 100% volunteer-run. From the organising committee making all the big decisions to the event stewards helping the march run on the day, we rely on the hard work of our volunteers to make the event the absolute best it can be.
Currently available positions

This role would require coming to some or all of our fundraiser events as well as to Bingley Pride’s main event on 16th August 2025.
Responsibilities:
Capturing Bingley Pride events on camera
Coordinating with other photographers/videographers to ensure all relevant areas of the event are covered.
Following our Photography Policy to ensure attendees privacy and safety are appropriately maintained, and no one is outed without consent.
Must-haves:
Your own camera equipment.
Ability to edit your own photos.
Examples of your work to show us (this doesn’t have to be paid, we welcome amateurs and hobbyists to apply too!).
Confidence taking photos or videos in low light environments as well as in daylight.
An understanding of the LGBTQ+ community, either as a member or an ally.
Nice-to-have (but not necessary!):
Experience photographing or filming community events, especially LGBTQ+ events.

These roles are for the day of Bingley Pride (16th August 2025). You will also be asked to attend a training session in advance (date TBC).
The specifics of what you will be doing on the day may vary, but you could be asked to perform any of the tasks outlined under ‘responsibilities’.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring crowds follow the designated march route.
Looking out for any potential safety issues, risks or signs an attendee is in distress, and either dealing with these or reporting them to the relevant member of the committee, depending on severity.
Representing Bingley Pride to attendees, giving them a clear point of contact if they need help or have any questions.
Handing out booklets and leaflets.
Must-haves:
Comfortable in and around crowds.
Able to speak to strangers.
Observant and able to speak up when something doesn’t look right.
Nice-to-have (but not necessary!):
Experience having attended a Pride march or similar event before, so you know what to expect.
Basic knowledge of emergency procedures (e.g. first aid).

These roles are for the day of Bingley Pride (16th August 2025). You will also be asked to attend a training session in advance (date TBC).
Responsibilities:
Selling merchandise and tickets for Bingley Pride events.
Handling money and card payments responsibly.
Customer service, including directing attendees who need assistance.
Keeping the merchandise stall organised and tidy.
Must-haves:
Customer service skills, including being comfortable speaking to strangers.
Able to handle payments confidently and appropriately.
Nice-to-have (but not necessary!):
Experience having attended a Pride march or similar event before, so you know what to expect.

March With Us
Individuals don’t have to apply in advance to march with us in the Bingley Pride parade. We’re open to everyone who follows our Code of Conduct.
However, if you’d like to arrange for a big group to join the parade, please contact us at bingleyprideuk@gmail.com.

Performers from across Bradford, West Yorkshire, and even from further afield are encouraged to apply. We can’t confirm when you’ll hear back at this time, but rest assured that we will be in touch with every applicant!
Apply for a Stall
We are excited to be holding a market, including a craft fair, as part of our Bingley Pride celebrations. If you’d like to nab one of our spaces, we recommend applying now before all spaces are gone!
